Waverley guidelines state that the appropriate way to provide feedback to Referees is to approach the referees either at half time or at the end of the game and seek clarification of a decision in a polite and calm manner. If that is not satisfactory, then ask to speak with the Referee Supervisor for the venue.
The report must made at the time of the game with the referees or the referee supervisor, detailing specifics around the issue. At external venues, the Venue Supervisor (doorkeeper) takes on all the responsibilities that the Referee Supervisor at Waverley would take.
For example – scratches
If a player receives a scratch during a game, the coach can politely point this out to the Referee during play for the Referee to do a nail check.
